Our Bianchetto (Tuber Borchii) truffles are nurtured carefully in optimum conditions on the roots of our oak, hazel nut and pine nut trees. Our truffles ripen naturally within the sandy soil and have a distinctive, intense and pleasing aroma.

Tresillian Truffles is located in West Melton, Canterbury, on the site of what started as the Tresillian sheep run in 1851.

The light sandy free draining soils made it challenging for growing pasture, but is perfect for the Bianchetto truffle.

Unearth the mystique of the Bianchetto Truffle on a Tresillian Truffle Hunt. On the root hairs of the pine, oak and hazelnut trees grow the Bianchetto Truffle.

Tresillian Truffle Oil is made using the finest rape seed oil, grown and processed in Canterbury. The oil is infused with premium fresh bianchetto truffle, carefully harvested from our truffiere in West Melton.

We would like to express our gratitude for these precious truffles…

The truffles were enjoyed by the guests with a wonderful meal prepared by the New Zealand Embassy Chef Mr. Damian. The tasting session was followed by a New Zealand sparkling wine with truffle in it and toast was held at the Embassy’s terrace.

The quality of the truffles was excellent. The chefs from some of the best restaurants in Japan, celebrities, politicians, journalists and many others we invited enjoyed it very much. The flavors and tastes of the truffles were highly praised and people commented that it was a wonderful experience.
